Yesterday, I got my hands on the real deal. I had previously posted images of Rs 2 and Rs 5 coins bearing the new rupee symbol designed by D Udaya Kumar.

Here’s a scan of the new ten rupee coin with the new rupee symbol. The metals used are the same as in the previous versions, the outer is of nickel-bronze and the inner circle is made of ferrous steel.
